30 MOBILE MEDICAL RECORDS Arief Setyanto STMIK AMIKOM Yogyakarta Abstract Medical record is an important data. paper based medical record has many weakness although it has been used for a long time. Paper based medical records has data integrity, data accuracy, information timelines and relevance. Mobile medical records is an implementation of electronics medical records. This paper propose a systems to store medical data in a mobile device in order to solve data distribution problem. Indonesia as a maritime country has big problem in transportation and communication infrastructure. It is impossible to guarantee that all of the hospital connected with data network infrastructure. For data interchange between one hospital t another we have to provide that, but it will be too expensive. For dealing with those problem I propose to copy each medical records to mobile device. Because the application will be distributed, I propose an XML standard for medical records data.
