This study has been prepared with the descriptive survey design which is among quantitative research methods. The universe of the research consists of the 635 students studying at eighth class in secondary schools in the city center of Sivas. The sample of the study consists of 10 secondary schools, selected by random sample method, in Sivas city center in 20132014 academic year. In order to determine the attitudes of the students towards citizenship and democracy education, The Attitude Scale towards Citizenship and Democracy Education Lesson developed by Bozbek and Demir (2014) was used in the study. The scale consists of 16 items. Except the CDL Scale, another data collection tool in the study was the individual information form. After the data collection tools were administered, the data obtained were analyzed using PASW 18 using descriptive statistics, frequency, percentage ttest and oneway ANOVA. As a consequence, the attitudes of secondary students towards CDL may vary according to different variables.
