Institute of Forensic Science, Aurangabad (Maharashtra) Abstract Internet is one of the most essential priorities of every individual running towards globalization. It is the thread that connects us to the whole world and brings everything closer. It has become the most easily accessible link to the otherwise distant world providing us with all the tools to govern ourselves ranging from social networking sits, e-bookings, e-shopping, share markets, as well as medical guidance. Almost every third person is getting addicted to internet for his/her daily desires. This physiological and psychological despondence towards internet has given rise to new problems regarding heath, social and psychological behavior. In our present study we have conducted an internet dependency test which analyzes and interprets the level of addiction for internet amongst various age groups, sex and professions. This in turn has numerous health effects which further affect the psychological makeup of an individual leading to deviations from normal human behavior and resorting to crime, thereby increasing the crime rate of a region. As of 2011 more than 2.2 billion people— nearly a third of Earth's Human population—used the services of the Internet. Internet connects the whole world within a single click.
