Teknik Eğitim Fakültesi, Bilgisayar Sistemleri Bölümü ÖZET Son yıllarda teknolojideki hızlı ilerleme ile insanların gündelik yaşamındaki mobil uygulamalar artmıştır. Teknolojideki gelişmeyle, teknolojik ürünler giderek küçülmekte ve bu yeni nesil ürünlere olan talep artmaktadır. Günümüzde cep bilgisayarları, masaüstü sistemlere alternatif olmaktadır. Bunun sebebi; taşıma ve kullanım kolaylığının yanı sıra, masaüstü sistemler kadar güçlü yapısıdır. Cep bilgisayarları kullanıcılarının tüm randevularını organize edebilmekte, Internet bağlantısı sağlayabilmekte, e-posta alıp gönderebilmekte, hatta kablosuz iletişim teknolojilerini de destekleyebilmektedir. Ayrıca bu sistemler, masaüstü sistemler ile senkronizasyona da imkân sağlamaktadır. Bu çalışmada; Palm OS tabanlı cep bilgisayarları ve masaüstü sistemlerde kullanılmak üzere, öğretim elemanlarına yönelik bir danışmanlık uygulaması geliştirilmiştir. Geliştirilen uygulama ile öğretim elemanları danışmanı oldukları öğrencilerin bilgilerine, kendi cep bilgisayarlarından hazırlanan arayüz ile ulaşıp veri girişi ve düzenlemesi yapabilmektedir. Çalışmada; Pocket Studio 1.0, Visual Basic 6.0 ve MS Access ile geliştirilmiştir. Anahtar Kelimeler: Conduit, PDA, Mobil Uygulamalar AN INSTRUCTOR ADVISORY SYSTEM TO USE ON PDAS. Abstract In recent years, with the rapid progress in technology, mobile applications increased in daily life of people. Tecnologic products getting smaller and the demand on these new generation devices increased. Today PDA’s are becoming alternative for desktop systems. The reason of this is not only flexibility and usability but also their powerful configuration as desktop systems. PDA’s can organize all meetings of the users, provide Internet and mail services, even support wireless connections. In addition PDA’s can synchronize with desktop systems. In this study an advisory application for academicians was developed for the purpose of PalmOS based handhelds and desktop computers. With this interface it is possible for academicians to access and edit their students' information by their PDAs’. This study was developed by using Pocket Studio 1.0, Visual Basic 6.0 and MS Access softwares. Keywords: Conduit, PDA, Mobile Applications
