His research interests include humanitarian intervention, statebuilding, and the prevention of genocide. He has published Kosovo, Intervention and Statebuilding (Routledge, 2010), Humanitarian Intervention: An Introduction (Palgrave Macmillan, 2010); Humanitarian Intervention After Kosovo (Palgrave Macmillan, 2008); Statebuilding: Theory and Practice (Routledge, 2007 & 2009), and is Assistant Editor of the Journal of Intervention and Statebuilding.
