Efficient Implementation of Big Data Switch
for Iraqi Cellular Phone Service Providers

Abstract
We are faced with a torrent of data generated and captured in digital form as a result of the
advancement of sciences, engineering and technologies, and various social, economical and
human activities. This big data phenomenon ushers in a new era where human endeavors and
scientific pursuits will be aided by not only human capital, and physical and financial assets, but
also dataassets. Research issues in big data and big data analysis are embedded in multi-
dimensional scientific and technological spaces. this paper reviews Big data technology, then
proposes a framework to build a switch for Iraqi cellular phone service providers. The major
three cell phone networks in Iraq: AsiaCell, Korek, and Zain. Investigations show that it is very
promising and could be seen as a good optimization.

1. Introduction
It is often assumed that Big Data resources are too large and complex for human
comprehension. The analysis of Big Data is best left to software programs. Not so. When data
analysts go straight to the complex calculations, before they perform a simple estimation, they
will find themselves accepting wildly ridiculous calculations[1]. Rapid increases in high
performance computing are feeding the development of larger and more complex data sets in
