Since then, its curriculum has little been updated, although the field has undergone major developments, especially due to information and communication technologies. A survey was conducted among former and current students of the School; it aims at measuring their awareness of the weakness of the training programme and collecting their opinions and wishes on reforms to be introduced. The analysis draws out that information professional would like CEFOCI to deliver up-to-date courses; they would like to be current with the FOSS movement, Linux and MacOS operating systems, electronic documents description and structuring standards. Students would prefer to have more practice in database management software applications; they would like to experience a variety of libraries or bibliographical software applications. Students are aware of the gap between the courses they studied and the state of LIS in general and information and communication technologies especially. They suggest that the school should create and equip at least a computer laboratory and hire competent lecturers. New courses may be updated as information and communication technologies progress. It is under these conditions that he gap may be bridged.
