Life Cycle of Tuna By Xavier Romero-Frias Tuna is the most important fish in Maldivian culture. Traditionally it was eaten freshly boiled or preserved in different ways. It was also exported in a processed form known as けMaldive fishげ that is still considered a delicacy in Sri Lanka. In 1987 I was asked to do the illustrations for a book on Fisheries Science for Maldivian schools that was going to be published by the Educational Development Centre, a unit belonging to the Ministry of Education of the Maldives. This is one of the drawings. First published in Introduction to Fisheries Science, Educational Development Centre, Ministry of Education, Male', Maldives. 1988. ISBN 99915-0-0251
