ABSTRACT The banking industry in Nigeria has not been contributing its full potential to the growth of the economy because of bad public image that resulted from bad ethical practices and poor corporate governance. There is no doubt that the post-consolidation from January 2006 in the Nigeria banking industry has witnessed stiff competition in the banking industry.
