MONITORING AND EVALUATION STRATEGY OF LESSON STUDY PROGRAMME [STRATEGI MONITORING DAN EVALUASI PROGRAM LESSON STUDY] Harry Firman Dipresentasikan pada 1 st International Conference on Lesson Study, Fakultas Pendidikan Matematika dan IPA Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia, Bandung, July 31 – August 2, 2008 Abstract A strategy for monitoring and evaluation of lesson study program was developed through the implementation of SISTTEM (Strengthening In-service Teacher Training of Mathematics and Science Education at Junior Secondary Level). CIPP model was employed as reference for developing monitoring and evaluation of SISTTEMS. Context evaluation was designed to provide information which is related to science and mathematics learning problems to be addressed through lesson study activities. Input evaluation was designed to provide information with regard to existing condition of teachers to be participated in lesson study as well as learning materials available in schools. Evaluation of process, which is called monitoring, was designed to reveal in detail the strength and weakness of the implementation PLAN, DO, and SEE steps of lesson study implementation as feedback information for the local management of lesson study program. Evaluation of product (outputs and outcomes) was designed to assess the changes in learning process and learning environment practices as well as students’ performance in math and science as a result of lesson study intervention. Kinds of relevant data, instruments, and procedure for implementing the monitoring and evaluation according to the strategy are shared in this paper. The strategy has to be viewed not as a model that fit to every condition, but it needs to be adapted to locality in which lesson study will be applied. Pendahuluan Lesson study (Bahasa Jepang: Jugyou Kenkyuu) adalah salah satu bentuk kegiatan pengembangan professional guru yang berbasis sekolah yang dilaksanakan kelompok guru secara kolaboratif dan sukarela atas inisiatif kepala sekolah dan guru.
