POLICE VIOLENCE IS IN VIOLATION OF PUBLIC POLICY AND COMMON DECENCY “If you’re going to be a crook you must engender the people to love you.” (Author unknown.) From Robin Hood, to Jessie James, from Al Capone to more modern day glamorous figures that call themselves saviors of nations, there has be drawn a stark division. That is in the form of politicians. It has become this latter-day hero’s duty to win the hearts and minds of voters. It is their job to keep their office on popular vote, so their constituents need to believe in them; for the politician represents them and the common good of themselves and loved ones. Where this Robin Hood figure evaporates into nothingness is where fiction meets reality. Politicians nowadays no longer represent the interests of the common man or even the common good. This is where Public Policy comes into play. To live in a civilized nation there must be two essential ingredients common to the community: decency and dignity; these are the fabric that binds a civilized society together. It is upon this premise that the policy of the common good of the community came into being, and in more modern times we have called this by the term: “Public Policy.” This is how when a society has a problem, such as police violence or criminal judges, crooked public defenders, anything concerning government, we have the right to indict those that would undermine the common good of the people for violating PUBLIC POLICY. The greedy politicians with their greed for profit and riches are setting up an environment in this country that will end up political suicide and a demise of how they run things. It is the Information Age and this is why they will fail. God Willing.
