OF M.U.R.P.-II (2014-15), M.S.UNIVERSITY OF BARODA,VADDARA SMART CITY AND CASE OF SURAT UNDERSTANDING THE SMART: The word smart itself defines and and create an image of a strategical concept of any process which makes the availability of outcome easier. The word it self make its concept clear about its realization. The word has becoming important now a days in each and every aspect of our like. Since the industrial revolution the al of the process in and around our life are finding the way to become simple and fast.On of the most simple example we can take is the ccase of sending letter. Earlier we need to write down the matter in a peace of paper and send it manually through the post. Than the fax machine came in to action to carryout the same process. Than after introduction of an e-mail came in to action.here we can see that the objective of the process has remained same but the concept of process to sending the document changed drastically. Which has resulted less time and energy and and the outcome becam more efficient which ultimately attract mentality of a persone towards the process it self and make the life easier. same is the case in the field of communication.This is the way we can simply understand what the “smart” actually is. NEED OF THE STUDY: Since the new government cam e in to action there are so many reforms and future projects are being floated to pursue the economic growth of the City. Our Prime minister “Shree Narendra Modi” has settled a vision to make 100 new smart cities. This proposal itself has created an interest for the future smart cities through out India. This proposal has made it more interesting to go for smart city planning as a planner to think about the smarter option for the smart cities. As there is an opportunity we must not let it go.
