RESUMO: Para o zoneamento agroclimático da pitangueira (Eugenia Uniflora L.) foram utilizados dados climáticos de temperaturas médias do ar e precipitação pluvial, em anos de diferentes níveis de precipitações (anos secos, regulares e chuvosos) dos quais foram calculados os balanços hídricos segundo Thonthwaite & Mather (1955). Foram utilizados postos meteorológicos de 202 localidades com 30 anos de observações para uma melhor representatividade do Estado de Pernambuco. De posse dos balanços hídricos das temperaturas mínima e máxima do ar, foram estimados os limites térmicos e hídricos em relação às exigências da espécie, e em seguida os índices foram espacializados para Pernambuco. Os resultados apresentaram 19 localidades com plena aptidão para anos de regimes pluviais baixos, para anos de regimes regulares de chuvas encontraram-se 50 localidades e para anos de regimes intensos de chuvas ocorreram 28 localidades aptas ao cultivo de pitangueiras. As cidades de Cortês, Gameleira e Palmares, foram escolhidas para serem representativas climatológicas por estarem próximas a cidade de Bonito que é a maior produtora do Estado. AGROCLIMATIC ZONING OF THE PITANGUEIRA IN THE STATE OF PERNAMBUCO ABSTRACT: For agroclimatic zoning of pitangueira (Eugenia uniflora L.) were used climatic data of air temperatures and average rainfall in years of different levels of precipitation (dry years, regular and wet) of which were calculated water balance Thonthwaite second & Mather (1955). We used meteorological posts of 202 locations with 30 years of observations for a better representation of the state of Pernambuco. Have the water balance of the minimum and maximum temperatures of air, the limits were estimated thermal and water requirements for the species, then the contents were spatializing to Pernambuco. The results showed 19 locations with full ability to years of low rain regimes, for years of regular schemes of rain there were 50 locations and years of intense rainfall regimes were 28 locations suitable for the cultivation of Pitangueiras. The towns of Cortes, and Gameleira Palmares, were chosen to be representative weather being near the city of Bonito is the largest producer in the state. KEYWORDS: water balance, thermal limits.
