Entman’s Model towards Rolling Stone Indonesia Magazine Issue # 78 October 2011 about Music Blogs Shutdown and File Sharing Sites Blockade Agenda related to Music Piracy in Indonesia. The purpose of this study was to determine the frame of two sections published on Rolling Stone Indonesia Magazine about music blogs shutdown and file sharing sites blockade agenda related to music piracy in Indonesia, including issues selection and highlighting aspects of selected issues. This study use Robert N. Entman’s framing analysis model, through its four main elements: define problem, diagnose causes, make moral judgement, and treatment recommendation. This study concluded that Rolling Stone Indonesia Magazine define music blogs shutdown and file sharing sites blockade agenda related to music piracy in Indonesia as social, legal, business and technology issue as well as the unprepared government regulation and music industries shock towards music industries global development. These developed business methods and goverment’s agenda to use UU ITE as legal basis for handling digital music piracy, considered as trigger for the issue. Rolling Stone Indonesia Magazine made a moral judgement by assuming that the agenda as a spontanious reaction that doesn’t consider any further impact on the community at large. Rolling Stone Indonesia Magazine recommends intellectual property law as legal basis for handling digital music piracy, and the renewal of Indonesia's music industry business methods.
