Motivation Banderitas The teacher will show a banderita in the class and ask the following questions: 1. What do you think is this I am holding? 2. Can you describe the banderita? 3. Where can we usually see a banderita? C. Lesson Proper a. Activity “Graffiti Wall” The teacher will let the students write on the board any Philippine festival they can think of. Guide Questions: 1. How do we define festivals? 2. Are you familiar with the festivals written on the board? 3. Where do you think these festivals originated? b. Analysis Guide Questions: 1. Why do you think festivals are celebrated? 2. Are these festivals celebrated in honor of a religious figure? Or jus for a specific industry? c. Abstraction This time, the teacher will discuss the two classifications of festivals: religious festivals and secular/non-religious festivals. Guide Questions: 1. Why is there a need for festivals?
