Research instruments used in PhD main study invesgang how experienced online learners self- direct their learning in FutureLearn courses (MOOC) These are the three research instruments used: 1. Online survey quesons (pre-course): used to get online learning background and experience from learners + an idea of their learning intenon 2. Learning logs (during course): used to get an idea of which type of direcon their learning is given, why and how. To get an idea of influencing factors. 3. Interview quesons (post-course): capturing reflecons on their learning process aſter the course has ended. Online survey questions These pre-learning log quesons will provided a basis for selecng research parcipants that can be considered experienced online learners (= learners that had prior online learning experience, either in formal or in informal – self-taught - contexts). Survey questions Thank you for your willingness to become a research parcipant in this study. Please fill in the following online survey quesons. These quesons will allow the researcher of this study to get addional insight in your prior online learning experience, as well as in your expectaons of your FutureLearn course. 1.
