Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui efek komunitas belajar mandiri terhadap motivasi belajar taruna. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode eksperimen yang dikaji secara kuantitatif dan kualitatif, penelitian dilaksanakan di Akademi Perikanan Sorong pada tanggal 5 Mei sampai 10 Juni 2014, dengan jumlah populasi 221 taruna putra dan jumlah sampel 40 taruna putra. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah angket yang sebelumnya diuji reliabilitas dan validitas yang hasilnya reliabel dan valid. Hasil penelitian diperoleh bahwa data angket semua berdistribusi normal dan sampel semua homogen. Hasil uji t two sampel berpasangan (paired sampel) TBP (t hitung = < t tabel = ), TPI (t hitung = > t tabel = ), MPP (t hitung = < t tabel = 2.26), tingkat I (t hitung = < t tabel = ), tingkat II (t hitung = > t tabel = ), tingkat III (t hitung = < t tabe l = ), dan uji One-Way ANOVA antar jurusan (F hitung = < F tabel = ), dan uji One-Way ANOVA antar tingkatan (F hitung = < F tabel = ), sehingga ada perbedaan motivasi belajar pada TPI dan tingkat II sebelum dan sesudah perlakuan tetapi tidak ada perbedaan motivasi belajar pada TBP, MPP, tingkat I dan tingkat III sebelum dan sesudah perlakuan, serta tidak ada perbedaan motivasi belajar antara jurusan maupun antar tingkatan. Namun, fakta dari angket dosen, wawncara dan dokumentasi menunjukan bahwa komunitas belajar mandiri dapat merubaah ke arah positif motivasi belajar dalam perkuliahan. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of self-learning communities on motivation to learn cadets. The method used is an experimental method that is assessed quantitatively and qualitatively, the research conducted at the Academy of Fisheries Sorong on May 5 to June 10, 2014, the son of a population of 221 cadets and 40 cadets son sample size. The instrument used was a questionnaire previously tested the reliability and validity of the results are reliable and valid. The results showed that all questionnaire data were normally distributed and sample all homogeneous. Results of two sample paired t-test (paired samples) TBP (t hitung = < t tabel = ), TPI (t hitung = > t tabel = ), MPP (t hitung = < t tabel = 2.26), level I (t hitung = < t tabel = ), level II (t hitung = > t tabel = ), level III (t hitung = < t tabe l = ), and the One-Way ANOVA test between departments (F hitung = < F tabel = ), and the One-Way ANOVA test between levels (F hitung = < F tabel = ), so there are differences in motivation to learn in TPI and level II before and after treatment but there was no difference in the motivation to learn on TBP, MPP, level I and level III before and after treatment, and there is no major difference between learning motivation and between levels. However, the fact of the faculty questionnaire, wawncara and documentation showing that autonomous learning communities can merubaah positive motivation towards learning in the lecture.
