Dr. Fatih Köse | Namık Kemal Üniversitesi ARŞİV BELGELERİNE GÖRE İ stanbul’da Edirnekapı’da 16. yüzyılda inşa edilen bu selâtin camii, inşa edil- diği tarihten günümüze kadar birçok defa depremler sonucu tahribata uğramıştır. 1719, 1766 ve 1894 depremlerinde yıkılan minaresi ile harap olan kubbe ve kurşunları defalarca tamir edilmiş ve yenilenmiştir. 1875 yılında bir yangın neticesi cami ve medrese kub- beleri tahrip olmuştur. 1868-1869’da yıldırım çarpması sonucu minare ve yine kubbeler hasar görmüştür. Osmanlı arşiv belgeleri caminin özellikle 1894 depremi ve öncesinde minare ve kubbelerinin geçirdiği tamiratlar ve ne sebeple tamire muhtaç hale geldikleri hakkında bilgiler vermektedir. Tamiratların kimler tarafından, ne şekilde ve ne kadar masrafla gerçekleştiğini de yine bu belge- lerden öğrenmekteyiz. Makalemizde arşiv belgeleri esas alınarak caminin tamir, onarım ve yenileme süreci kronolojik olarak belirtil- meye çalışılacaktır. T . he mosque, which is a Sultan’s one, was built in 16th century, in Edirnekapi region of İstanbul and had been affected because of the earthquakes many times. The destroyed minaret an d the ruined dome including the lead covering by the earthquakes of 1719, 1766 and 1894 were res- tored several times. After a fire in 1875, the domes of the mosque and the madrasa were devastated. Additionally, another devasta- tion occured on the minaret and the domes because of lighting in 1868-1869. Detailed information could be found in Ottoman Arc- hives documents on restoration works and te necessities of the works of the mosque, especially the ones after and before the earthquake of 1894. Moreover, the informa- tion on the instructors, scope and cost of the mentioned restoration works could be reached from the archives documents. The article aims to give chronological information on the restoration works of the mosque depending on the archives documents.
