In 2014, the University of Houston-Downtown recently selected me as their Outstanding Adjunct Professor and the Houston Area Association for the Education of Young Children awarded me their Teacher Educator of the Year honor. My publication history ranges from numerous scholarly journal articles to a practical math lesson book for teachers of gifted children. I work with preschool and elementary teachers in the Houston area as a consultant and workshop presenter. I am also super mom to eight kids ages 3 months, 2, 4, 8, 10, 12, 14, and 18.
