Ouƌ studLJ populatioŶ ĐoŶsisted of ϳϭϮ patieŶts ǁith a ŵeaŶ age of ϱϭ.Ϯ±ϭϱ.ϭ LJeaƌs, ϰϰ% of theŵ ǁeƌe ŵale aŶd ϱϲ% of theŵ ǁeƌe feŵale. ThiƌtLJ-sidž peƌĐeŶt of patieŶts ǁeƌe sŵokeƌs, ϵ% of theŵ ǁeƌe eǀeƌ sŵoked aŶd stopped sŵokiŶg oƌ edž-sŵokeƌ aŶd ϱϱ% of theŵ ǁeƌe ŶoŶsŵokeƌ. SLJstoliĐ aŶd diastoliĐ ďlood pƌessuƌes ǁeƌe loǁest iŶ the sŵokeƌs, higheƌ aŵoŶg edž-sŵokeƌs Đoŵpaƌed to sŵokeƌs aŶd highest iŶ the ŶoŶ-sŵokeƌs ;P<Ϭ.ϬϬϭͿ. The ŵeaŶ sLJstoliĐ aŶd diastoliĐ ďlood pƌessuƌes ǁeƌe ϭϭϵ/ϳϰ ŵŵHg iŶ the sŵokeƌs, ϭϯϰ/ϴϭ ŵŵHg iŶ the edž-sŵokeƌs aŶd ϭϱϬ/ϴϴ ŵŵHg iŶ the ŶoŶ-sŵokeƌs. PƌeǀaleŶĐe of hLJpeƌteŶsioŶ did Ŷot ĐhaŶge ďLJ sŵokiŶg status. A sigŶifiĐaŶt ǀaƌiatioŶ ǁas deteƌŵiŶed, at ϭϱ% iŶ sŵokeƌs, ϯϯ% iŶ edž-sŵokeƌs aŶd ϱϱ% iŶ ŶoŶ-sŵokeƌs ;P<Ϭ.ϬϬϭͿ.
