Especificamente, analisaremos o emprego desse modelo ao estudo do mundo Romano, de modo em que seja possível observamos suas contribuições para a compreensão dos fenômenos religiosos em Roma, ao passo que questionaremos também sua validade frente a diversas inconsistências. ABSTRACT: It is proposed in the present article a critical evaluation of the interpretative model concerning the relations between politics and religion in Classical Antiquity, known as Polis-Religion. It will be analyzed, specifically, the use of this model in the study of the Roman world, in a way that it may become possible to observe its contributions to the understanding of religious phenomena in Rome, but at the same time questioning its validity facing several inconsistences.
