XIV Encontro Nacional de Pesquisa em Ciência da Informação (ENANCIB 2013) GT 7: Produção e Comunicação da Informação em CT&I Pôster INDICADORES CIENTOMÉTRICOS DO PROGRAMA DE PÓS-GRADUAÇÃO EM MEDICINA TROPICAL DA UNIVERSIDADE FEDERAL DE PERNAMBUCO: DISCUSSÕES PRELIMINARES Natanael Vitor Sobral – UFPE Fábio Mascarenhas e Silva – UFPE Resumo Propõe o desenvolvimento de procedimentos preliminares para construção e análise dos indicadores científicos da pesquisa em Medicina Tropical do estado de Pernambuco a partir da produção científica do Programa de Pós-Graduação em Medicina Tropical (PPGMT) da Universidade Federal de Pernambuco. O período da análise foi de 2010 a 2012 (último ciclo trienal avaliativo da CAPES). Para tal, foram utilizados os fundamentos da Cientometria, que segundo documento da FAPESP (2002) é um método para o estudo do sistema de ciência, tecnologia e inovação. Ele se ocupa do desenvolvimento de metodologias para a construção e a análise de indicadores, com base em abordagem interdisciplinar, envolvendo a Ciência da Informação, a Economia, a Administração, entre outras áreas. Como principais resultados, foram obtidos: os pesquisadores mais produtivos; o quantitativo de publicações por tipologia documental e o estrato Qualis dos artigos de periódicos; as redes de colaboração científica entre os pesquisadores e seus vínculos com pesquisadores externos. O campo científico da Medicina Tropical é de interesse estratégico para Pernambuco, deste modo, é importante que suas pesquisas sejam fomentadas, e estejam alinhadas aos interesses estratégicos da região. Abstract Proposes the development of preliminary procedures for construction and analysis of indicators of scientific research in tropical medicine in the state of Pernambuco from the scientific production of the Graduate Program in Tropical Medicine (PPGMT) Federal University of Pernambuco. The period of analysis was from 2010 to 2012 (the last three-year cycle of evaluation CAPES). For this, we used the foundations of Scientometrics, that second document from FAPESP (2002) is a method for the study of the science, technology and innovation is offered by the field known as "scientometrics". He engaged in the development of methodologies for the construction and analysis of indicators, based on an interdisciplinary approach, involving Information Science, Economics, Management, among others. The main results were obtained: the most productive researchers, the amount of publications by type of document and the stratum Qualis journal articles; networks of scientific collaboration between researchers and their links with external researchers. The scientific field of Tropical Medicine is of strategic interest to Pernambuco, thus it is important that their research are encouraged, and are aligned to the strategic interests of the region.
