This study collects the primary data through a sampling method. The goals are to examine how college students use Web 2.0 technologies for managing knowledge. In this paper, we will do a preliminary analysis on the survey data and summarize the current situation about college students’ practices on knowledge management with Web 2.0 technologies. The best practices, cultural differences and the lessons will be discussed. Several future research directions are outlined. Information is overloading from everywhere. The methods that were perused by the students for creating, sharing and storing information in the past are now being replaced by technological modes. In the modern era, the access of knowledge and information has become extremely common. Web 2.0 is extremely valuable and hot topic of discussion. Researchers, authors and students write articles and share them on various websites. Search engines request information, alerts and make new forms of information. Knowledge management is a process through which information is stored and communicated to the other. It is a broad concept that comprises of various practices, strategies and tools for identifying, creating, representing and distributing information. Web 2.0 tools and personal knowledge management are particularly crucial in the higher education, but cultural differences play an extremely active role in rate of adaptation of these technologies. This would be extremely attractive for the conference participant because the results are from four different countries and the audience will get the views of all these students from the around the world.
