The case of children with Asperger’s syndrome in basic level in Guadalajara’s metropolitan area (México) Maria Elena Anguiano Suárez 1 Israel Tonatiuh Lay Arellano 2 Abstract Since the approval of the General Law for Inclusion of People with Disabilities, the door opened for the children with Autism Spectrum Disorders, especially those with Asperger's Syndrome, could pursue their basic education in a regular school thus enhancing the cognitive skills that count. This paper aims to show the construction of the scaffolding of a qualitative research in this area, as well as advances in the field that are made in Mexico, describing the scope and limits of the application of this legislation.
