75 LA SACRAMENTALIDAD EN LA ARQUITECTURA RELIGIOSA CONTEMPORÁNEA HOLINESS IN CONTEMPORARY RELIGIOUS ARCHITECTURE Rafael Ángel García Lozano* Semanario Ecclesia Resumen La arquitectura religiosa contemporánea es hija de su tiempo y participa de la tipología y forma actual de hacer arquitectura. Pero en ella se desarrollan también unos princi- pios que la fundamentan teológicamente, entroncados en la cristología y –especial- mente– eclesiología heredadas del Movimiento Litúrgico y el Concilio Vaticano II. La forma en que estas bases teológicas se han consolidado en la arquitectura religiosa contemporánea ha ido unida a la creación de espacios celebrativos para la asamblea litúrgica propiciadores de una sobresaliente capacidad de creación de ámbitos de en- cuentro y la potenciación de la sacramentalidad del propio templo en tanto que reali- dad material. Abstract Contemporary religious architecture is product of his time and shares in the current type and form of making architecture. But it also develops the underlying principles that theologically, linked in christology and ecclesiology, inherited from the Liturgical Movement and the II Vatican Council. The way in which these theological foundations have been consolidated in contemporary religious architecture has been linked to creating spaces of celebration for the liturgical assembly promoters of an excellent capacity to create areas for meeting and the sacredness of the temple as material reality.
