The total phenolic content was determined by the Prussian Blue method opportunely modified. The grapefruit seeds glyceric extract utilized as aqueous solutions demonstrated antioxidant properties better than those displayed by alcoholic solutions. 2004 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved. Uses in traditional medicine. The fruit, a yellow hesperidium can be used to prepare different cosmetic products to tone up the epidermis, to treat acne and the flushed epidermis w1x.
