There many new systems introduced for making our day-to-day activities, industrial and medical stream easy. But when one goes for a journey from long routes trains and highways, if suddenly his health condition becomes worse, then what one should do? There are no hospitals or medical facilities available at such places. Here advanced system comes into play. There are many medicines available in a market which can help in such situation but due to non-available to one at time of need, may cause a loss of life. Our advanced system idea covers the development of a touch screen based medical vending machine intended for use in remote areas which provides basic medicine on the basis of symptoms and also provides information of availability of nearby hospitals, doctors and ambulance services. This paper describes the design and implementation of vending machine which uses the IR standard touch technology with medicine outlet mechanism using low cost efficient motor. The software used will be like visual basic. The software will be programmed such as when the patient clicks/select’s a particular option the patient will be served with that required option or service. The circuit would have a feature of ambulance facility, first aid facility, and direct calling facility via GSM, dynamic GPS, smart card facility and restocking medicine alert. INTRODUCTION The project is about to create an automated emergency kit machine for providing medicines or preliminary treatment on some basic diseases’ symptoms. In certain areas such as highways, rural areas etc. doctors are not available nearby. So this project will solve the unavailability of doctors in remote areas. In this project we are going to make a device which will provide the user needed medicine according to his disease. The following features have been provided in the machine: Ambulance Facility: A. This feature enables the patient to call up the Ambulance Services available at a particular location in case of emergency. First Aid Facility: B. This feature allows the patient to make use of first aid kit Components like Cotton, Band-Aid, Bandages, Adhesive tape, Anti- Septic, etc. Direct Calling Facility: C. If the patient has symptoms that he can’t identify or he wants to take the advice from consultant, then he can directly call the expert (doctor) for the advice. The call will be connected directly through the machine via Global System for Mobile Communication (GSM) system. Dynamic GPS: D. When the machine will be in moving state, it will automatically update the local data of hospitals, medicals & consultants in database. It will keep on updating as machine moves. Smart Card Facility: E. Smart card facility will make transactions easier as coin assembly mechanism will not be required. Restocking Medicine Alert: F. This feature will be implemented in a manner such that if the particular medicine reaches it limit (out of stock) then a message will delivered to the service centre to inform the service providers to refill the stock.
