Beccari; pós-graduando em Mestrado em Design; Universidade Federal do Paraná; contato@marcosbeccari.com Resumo: A proposta deste trabalho é apresentar, aos designers e pesquisadores da área, um (meta)acesso inicial à obra “O Sistema dos Objetos”, tese de doutorado de Jean Baudrillard (1968) sob a orientação de Roland Barthes (1915-1980). Por meio de uma revisão bibliográfica básica, procuramos encontrar o Design naquela irremediável região, trilhada por Baudrillard, onde as trocas simbólicas confundem-se com o andamento de todas as relações humanas. Para tanto, o autor e a obra selecionada são brevemente apresentados, aprofundando-nos em seguida nos conceitos de objeto funcional, objeto antigo, automatismo e consumo. Neste sentido, o Sistema dos Objetos é encarado mais como uma análise sobre o valor dos signos nas trocas humanas do que como uma análise dos objetos em si. Por fim, recorremos a algumas das pesquisas sobre Baudrillard já desenvolvidas no campo do Design, encerrando pontualmente com nossa contribuição à temática vigente. Não se trata, pois, de uma simples resenha ou tampouco de uma análise crítica aprofundada – nosso intuito é apenas contemplar o Design sob a perspectiva de Baudrillard, especificamente em seu Sistema dos Objetos. Abstract: The purpose of this paper is to present, to designers and researchers in the field, a initial (meta)access to the work “The System of Objects”, PhD thesis of Jean Baudrillard (1968) under the guidance of Roland Barthes (1915-1980). Through a basic literature review, we tried to find the Design in that irremediable region, traveled by Baudrillard, where the symbolic exchanges are confounded with the course of all human relationships. To this end, the author and the selected work are briefly presented, then delving into the concepts of functional object, old object, automation and consumption. In this sense, the system of objects is viewed more as an analysis of the value of signs in human exchanges rather than as an analysis of the objects themselves. Finally, we resorted to some of the researches on Baudrillard already developed in the field of Design, closing with our succinct contribution to the current theme. This is not, therefore, a simple review nor a detailed critical analysis - our intention is just to contemplate the Design from the perspective of Baudrillard, specifically in his System of Objects.
