E-mail: landrynana@hotmail.com Caprine of Saanen and Toggenburg breedings from the mountainous region at the municipality of Teresópolis in the state of Rio de Janeiro, where fecal samples were collected separately from two groups, divided in young and adult animals. The sporulated oocysts of eight distinct species were verified morphologically and mophometrically (width, length and shape index) and they were identified as Eimeria alijevi, E. arloingi, E. caprina, E. caprovina, E. christenseni, E. hirci, E. jolchijevi e E. ninakholyakimovae. Linear regression was used for verifying changes in oocysts size shapes from both groups of age, besides the use of the Student’s t test in the means comparisons. Significant differences were observed (pd”0.001) in the size of the sporulated oocysts of some species. Eimeria ninakholyakimovae presented significant difference for length and width means, as well as, for the shape index between the oocysts from the young and adult animals. Eimeria alijevi, E. caprina and E. caprovina presented significant differences for length and width means of sporulated oocysts from young and adult animals. It could conclude that the species identified in this study presented, in some cases, a high degree of polymorphism between oocysts from young and adult caprines for the same species of Eimeria.
