ISSN: 2156-6992 :: 1(05):281–302 (2011) Copyright c  2011 by InternationalJournal.org  THE EFFECT OF MICROTEACHING ON LEARNING ZONE DEFENCE IN BASKETBALL GAME Adel Hosny Elsayed Shawaf Assiut University, Egypt Using educational aids share in facilitation of education process; improve the educator’s motivation to increase his understanding and insight in addition, it make him able to matins what he had learned for as long-term as possible, Micro-teaching method work toward acquiring and improve new educational skills and heighten the other skills, where the instructor teach a small group of pupils for 6 to 10 minutes he record his lesson using Video tap and watch the learner then analyze the record, Thus it consists of teaching then criticism then re-teaching using new technical equipments. The research aims to identify the impact of Micro-teaching on learning zone defence in basketball, The researcher used the experimental approach by using experimental and control group through the application of per- and post- measurements for its suitability to the study nature, the sample included 20 of first class students in sport secondary school they were divided into two groups, The main results were the designed of technical evolution form for zone defence performance designed by the researcher and was a good method to evaluate the technical performance of the pupils act. Designed educational units for zone defence by player’s movements that fit the style of micro- teaching, increase the level of pupil’s performance of zone defence for the experimental group better than the control one this was due to the application of micro-teaching method for the experimental group. It became clear that micro-teaching style is a good method to teach students the practices of zone defence through watch and evaluation of performance, provide feedback to students and therefore decrease faults rates and improve the performance. INTRODUCTION Basketball is a popular game because it distinguished with speed in playing and skilful, physical and tactical performance also the game characterized by excitement, enjoyment and always develops rapidly in the legality aspects from beginning until now. Using modern technology in sports became much important for its effective role in teaching and learning success the matter that added new methods and techniques which can be used to prepare professional players of high qualification level to meet the mastery requirements in the practice of the practicing activity. 281
