INTRODUCTION It is generally accepted that there is correlation between students' performance and the effort students put in their studies. Another thing that is connected with students’ performance is HOW students put the effort in their studies. This is popularly known as study behavior Studying mathematics is different from studying other subjects. The same studying behavior that may lead to success in a history may not necessarily be successful in mathematics. For instance, while studying for a history subject requires drills in memorization of important facts, memorization of crucial facts alone may not guarantee a satisfactory performance in mathematics since more valuable skills such as problem solving are required. Similarly, the difference between high performing students and their low performing counter-parts include his appreciation of mathematics, his study habits, and his overall strategy for pursuing and demonstrating his mathematics knowledge and skills. In this paper, we look into three of aspects of students’ study behavior. That is their Attitude towards learning, learning Habits, and studying Strategies.
