Yee Ian Yik
Yee Ian Yik is a Pediatric Surgeon in the Department of Pediatric
Surgery, University of Malaya, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. He has just
completed his PhD in the Surgical Research Group, Murdoch
Childrens Research Insitute (MCRI), Melbourne and Department of
Pediatrics, University of Melbourne, Australia, characterizing colonic
moility wıth radionuclear transit studies and studyıng the efect of
transcutaneous electrical simulaion on children with intractable
consipaion.
Andre Tan
Andre Tan is a science and bioengineering graduate from Monash
University (Melbourne, Australia), and he is currently a PhD student
in the Surgical Research Group at MRCI.
John M Hutson
John M Hutson is Professor and Chair of Pediatric Surgery in the
Pediatrics Department at the University of Melbourne, and the
Urology Department at the Royal Children’s Hospital (Melbourne,
Australia). He is an Honorary Fellow of the MRCI, the American
Academy of Pediatrics and the Canadian Associaion of Pediatric
Surgeons. He was awarded the Order of Australia in 2007, and he
has published over 320 peer-reviewed papers and 15 books on
congenital malformaions of the urogenital systems, anorectal
malformaions, sexual development and tesicular descent, and
chronic consipaion in children.
Bridget R Southwell
Bridget R Southwell is a Senior Scienist and heads the Gut Moility
Laboratory in the Surgical Research Group at MRCI. She is also a
Fellow of the Naional Health and Medical Research Council and the
American Gastroenterology Associaion. She has published over
150 papers on the development and structure of the enteric nervous
system, and diagnosis and treatment of chronic consipaion in
children. Her key areas of research are the enteric nervous system,
intesinal moility, tesicular descent and consipaion.
