1 MODOS DE REPRESENTACIÓN Y CATEGORÍAS ESTÉTICAS DEL PAISAJE VENEZOLANO EN LA ÚLTIMA DÉCADA DEL SIGLO XX: UNA VISIÓN POSMODERNA Nidia Tabarez Reyes UPEL-IPC RESUMEN El propósito de este estudio fue analizar los diversos modos de representación del paisaje venezolano, en la última década del siglo XX, a fin de precisar sus categorías estéticas a la luz de los cambios que introduce la posmodernidad. En este sentido, a partir de la estética posmoderna, se realizó un estudio sistemático sobre las significaciones de la representación artística y su vinculación con la producción paisajística y la identificación de los modos de representación del paisaje en Venezuela en la década de los 90. La presente investigación se inscribe en la modalidad de investigación documental apoyada en los métodos hermenéutico y estructural, estableciéndose una interacción dialéctica entre las expectativas de la investigadora y el objeto de estudio. Las consideraciones finales evidencian que: a) Las expresiones artísticas y, en especial, la representación de paisajes en los 90, están impregnadas del espíritu posmoderno; b) El estudio de los signos de la posmodernidad permitió identificar descriptores claves para el establecimiento de categorías estéticas en el contexto de la creación artística de finales del siglo XX. WAYS OF REPRESENTATION AND AESTHETIC CATEGORIES OF VENEZUELAN LANDSCAPE IN THE LAST DECADE OF THE XX CENTURY: A POSTMODERN VISION Nidia Tabarez Reyes UPEL-IPC ABSTRACT The purpose of this study was to analyze the diverse ways of representation of the Venezuelan landscape, in the last decade of the XX century, in order to specify its aesthetic categories based on the changes that it introduces to postmodernism. For it, and beginning from the postmodern aesthetics, a systematic study was achieved on the significances of the artistic representation and their relationship with the landscape production and the identification of ways of representation of the landscape in Venezuela in the 90´s. The present investigation is a documental investigation supported in the hermeneutic and structural methods, establishing a dialectical interaction between the investigator's expectations and the object of study. The final considerations make evident that: a) the artistic expressions and, especially, the representation of landscapes in the 90´s, are impregnated of postmodern spirit; b) the study of postmodernism´s signs allowed to identify key words for the establishment of aesthetic categories in the context of the artistic creation at the end of the XX century.
