El FOCO fuŶĐioŶa ďásiĐaŵeŶte Đoŵo uŶa Đaja de ƌeĐuƌsos gestioŶada poƌ uŶa OƌgaŶizaĐióŶ, Ƌue ĐiƌĐulaŶ, o ƌotaŶ, eŶtƌe ella LJ los asoĐiados eŶ foƌŵa de Đƌéditos. Estos Đƌéditos, taŶto eŶ diŶeƌo Đoŵo en productos o insumos, se destinan principalmente a financiar actividades productivas y/o comerciales de los miembros de la organización. Desde el año 2011 la UCAR ha financiado 54 proyectos de Fondos Rotatorios, por un monto cercano a los $9 millones, alcanzando a un total de 2.000 productores del ámbito rural. Esta corta pero vasta experiencia ha permitido afianzar a los Fondos Rotatorios como instrumento de intervención pública, constituyendo una innovación financiera, social y de gestión. ABSTRACT: This paper aims to introduce the methodology used by Unidad para el Cambio Rural (UCAR) in order to promote credit revolving funds for rural organizations. Although theƌe aƌe ŵaŶLJ defiŶitioŶs foƌ ƌevolviŶg fuŶds, UCA‘ has iŵpleŵeŶted theŵ as fuŶds to capitalize organizations with no access to traditional financing. They are understood as a box of resources managed by an organization, that rotates between its members in the form of loans. These credits, both in money or inputs are used mainly to finance productive and commercial activities of the members of the organization. Since 2011, UCAR has funded 54 projects of revolving funds, for close to $ 9 million, reaching a total of 2,000 producers in rural areas. This short but extensive experience has helped to strengthen these Funds as an instrument of public intervention, constituting a financial and social innovation.
