Abstract
Fuel consumption is one of the main concerns of most travelers. Many navigation
systems which take fuel consumption into account have been developed to assist travelers
on route selection. The aim of this paper is to present a navigation system based on the
concept of fuel-economy (minimal energy consumption) that is able to provide travelers the
shortest travel time/distance. The system is constructed from data collected with closed-
circuit television (CCTV) and on the platform of Visual Basic .NET.
