Dr. Gülay KARAMAN * ÖZET Edebiyat sosyal bir gerçeklik olan insan ve hayatı konu alır. Herhangi bir yönüyle insan ve hayatla, dolayısıyla toplumla ilişkilendirilemeyecek edebî eser düşünülemez. Klasik Türk edebiyatı altı asır boyunca toplumumuzun duygu, düşünce, yaşayış ve kültürünü son derece estetik bir şekilde yansıtmış bir edebiyat geleneğidir. Buna rağmen 19. yüzyılın ikinci yarısından itibaren klasik Türk şiirine ağır eleştiriler yöneltilmiş; bu şiirin hayattan kopuk, toplumu aksettirme gücünden yoksun olduğu dile getirilmiştir. Yapılan divan tahlilleri, klasik Türk şiirinde sosyal hayatı konu alan tez, makale ve kitaplar klasik Türk şiirinin içinden çıktığı toplum ve hayatla kuvvetli ilişkisi olduğunu göstererek bu eleştirilerin haksız ve hakikatsiz olduğunu ortaya koymuştur. Klasik Türk şiirine geçmişin değerlerini bugün ve yarın için dönüştürebilme gücünü içinde barındıran bir mazi bilinci ve dikkatiyle bakıldığında bu şiirin toplumumuzun kültür ve değerlerinin zengin bir hazinesi olduğu görülür. Bu bağlamda klasik Türk şiirinde yaygın bir kullanımla kendini gösteren şükrane geleneği söz konusu edilecektir. Osmanlı toplumunda önemli bir iş bitirildiğinde, bir murada erme ya da musibetten kurtulmada hediyeler verilir, şükrane adı verilen iyilikler yapılır. Toplumda ve kültürde var olan şükrane verme geleneğinin klasik Türk şiirinde sanatsal bir boyut kazanarak işlenmesi, bu şiirin toplumla sıkı bağlarının olduğunun bir göstergesidir. A literary work which can not be associated with any aspect of human and life, therefore with the society can not be considered. Classical Turkish literature is a literary tradition that reflects the feeling, thought, the way of life and culture of our society during six centuries in a high aesthetic manner. In spite of this, by the second half of 19th century heavy criticism was directed to classical Turkish poetry, it was expressed that this poetry was broken from life and had no power of reflecting the society. The analysis of divans made; thesis, articles and books that took the topic of social life in classical Turkish poetry brought out that these criticisms were unfair and unfaithful showing classical Turkish poetry had strong relationship between the society and life it came out of. When classical Turkish poetry is looked around with consciousness and diligence of past which contains the power to transform the values of past for present and tomorrow this poetry appears to be a rich treasure of culture and values of our society. In this context, the tradition of thanksgiving which is widely used in classical Turkish poetry will be discussed. In Ottoman society, when an important job is finished, one is attained a desire or got rid of the evil gifts are given, favors named thanksgiving are made. Processing by gaining an artistic dimension in classical Turkish poetry the tradition of giving gratitude that exists in society and culture is an indication of the close ties with the community of this poetry.
