AL-NASRAWI Computer Science Department, College of Science Kerbala University, Karbala, Iraq Abstract: One of the important issue in network is security, especially when computer usage is increasing for both social and business areas. So, the secure communications through public and private channels are the main objective for researches. Data hiding is one of approach to obtain a secure communication medium and protecting the information during transmission. Text steganography is most challenging because redundant information in text documents is very less as compared to the audio and images. In this paper, insert the secret message in specified areas in a document that will be ignored by the processing. For example, in MS-Word document contain an 0x0D or paragraph marker, and the process will stop when it reaches the 0x0D because it is not displayed to or editable by the user, because it is outside of any document part. The message was encrypted before embedding process, in order to increase the security levels by Triple_DES. The capacity of hiding in binary file format based on the available ignored processing area. The results show that there is no increasing in size of stego document and the proposed method has an excellent perceptual transparency because there is no difference between cover document and stego document when open them in Microsoft Office.
