Kpabep Rivers State Polytechnic Department of Mechanical Engineering Bori, Rivers State Nigeria ABSTRACT This research is on the Design of an Automatic Super-Heated Pressurized Water and Alarm Security System (ASUPWASS). It is an innovative security outfit designed to curb numerous burglary criminal activities in an environment. A functional description of the device was given which is centered on its ability to automatically use sensor to trigger the spray of super-heated hot water on intruders in order to inflict scalding injury and simultaneously raise an alarm system. The design system was given which cuts across; flow diagram, construction and schematic drawing. The design analysis of the device was also given. The research was concluded with recommendations that; Government like Nigeria should test-run ASUPWASS by providing funds that will ensure mass production and distribution to government agencies and thorough risk analyses assessment should be carried out in all environments to ascertain a suitable place for installation of ASUPWASS.
