Department of Educaon, issued DepEd Order No.36 entled Policy Guidelines on Awards and Recognion for the K to12 Basic Educaon Program in all public schools, in line with the implementaon of Enhance Educaon Act of 2013(K to 12 Law), July 6. DO. 36 was made for the new format in awarding and grading system, adopng the enclosed Policy Guidelines on Awards and Recognion for the K to 12 Basic Educaon Program. The order was approved under the administraon of the former president Benigno Aquino III and was made by former DepEd Secretary Bro. Armin Luistro. These awards have been designed to formally recognize the outstanding performance and achievement of learners in academics, leadership, and social responsibility, among other aspects of student progress and development. These awards are given to encourage student to work hard for excellence and to become producve members of the school and community. The said awards will be implemented aſter the school year or every end of the quarter. The awarded students are surveyed by the Awards Commiee that is a combinaon of the Grade level coordinators and the members of Enhance Basic Educaon Informaon System (EBEIS) of the school. The Criteria of awarding for academics would be classified in three categories; the Honors with an average of 90-94, the High Honors with an average of 95-97, and lastly the Highest Honors with the total average of 98-100. On the other hand, there are criteria too in awarding the Outstanding Performance in Specific Discipline which are the following: Academic Rang-20%, Skill in the Discipline-40%, Atude towards the Discipline-20%,and The Contribuon to the School related to Discipline-20% for a total of 100%. On the other hand the criteria in awarding the Outstanding Performance in Specific Discipline will be base from Academic Rang (20%), Skill in the Discipline (40%), Atude (20%), and the contribuon to the school related to the discipline (20%). The awardee will be given cerficates compose of the category awarded and medals.
