The impact of rural-urban migration on the social component: Case of small towns of HODNA (Algeria). Dr. REDJEM Ali 1 , Dr. ADAD Med Cherif 2 Abstract - The quick changes facing the Hodna in the economic, social and cultural impacts have space and lead to a change in the relationship between population and territory. They are the cause of the increased complexity of the forms of socio-economic and socio-spatial. Population pressure, diverse needs of the population, affect the systems and modes of production and consumption of space. Because of this failure of spaces, forms of spatial mobility are diversifying and growing. Although rural-urban migration remains substantial migration flows, there is also amplification of intra urban migration. These movements, especially intra-urban mobility, are significant for the move to a transition of spatial mobility. Keywords: space, population, intra-urban mobility, spatial mobility, rural-urban migration. I. Introduction Traditional relationships that have long talks with rural land have undergone deep changes due to drought, land division, increasing the number of landless, irrigation, mechanization, etc.. As a result, a significant number of the population of the areas called "douars" is a candidate to begin with. The urban structure becomes denser, the rate of urbanization continues to increase, the urban fabric to expand and diversify [1]. Urban society has become complex and the urban economy is unable, by itself; ensure employment and resources for the entire population. Thus, several problems arise relating to the control of urban space, management and equipment [2]. By the way, it develops new residential centers, objects of our study, expression of the ongoing urbanization and urbanity to come. In this article, we are going to study the populations of these centers across their geographical origin, social and occupational distribution, family structures and construction practices, study, we will define the social nature of these new centers and explain the logic behind their creation. II. Source and method This study is based on exhaustive exploitation use of all available data on the number of inhabitants in communities across the region. The number of population in particular, is an excellent synthetic indicator of the position of cities within a national urban system. It presents a widely theoretical demonstrated interest [3]. It helps to highlight the growth mechanism and the configuration of urban networks (and more generally the distribution of men in space) into autonomous part of economic, social or political processes. The population figures are also an advantage that is capital in a country like Algeria (or a region like Hodna that represents hitherto a virgin territory for researchers) through regular censuses conducted since the colonial period especially the last five years (1966, 1977, 1987, 1998 and 2008). III. Residential mobility and migration areas III.1. Origins of the inhabitants Despite the presence of M'sila and Barika, regional centers highly dynamic and main attractions in the region [4], small centers are hotbeds of Hodna call that work in conjunction with these major centers. In 2005, over two thirds of household heads were born outside of the four centers studied. Two of them, Barhoum and Magra, exceeded the 90%, respectively 96.3% and 91.7%. In the other two centers, and Ouled Adi Legbala Ouled Derradj, the percentages were in the range of 84.5% and 76.2%.
