Writer chine Novotel Hotel Batam as a locus of research, hence its field condition monitoring and according to Novotel’s employee, some people think that Novotel Hotel Batam is an old Hotel and has a room facility and the other rooms which seem old. This hotel has to think for tactic in order this Hotel can keep it’s existence . In holding marketing communication, promotion is estimated as one of the factors in giving the information to get the visitors. After they attracted to use the hotel’s service, so the hotel also gives it is service of excellence in order the visitor feel happy and satisfy. So that, it is estimated that it also gives an affecter increasing impact in number of visitor. The theory which is used is SMCRE theory. They are Source, Message, Channel, Receiver, and Effect. The research method which is used in this research is survey method. With the data collecting process is using questionnaires, interview, and documentation. The sampling technique which is used is Accidental Sampling, it means that everyone who meet with the researcher can be the sample if it seems that the people whom the researcher meet is fit as a data source and samples got 75 visitor Novotel Hotel Batam. For the data processing, researcher is using SPSS 17.00 version statistic application. After passing the SPSS output statistic researcher process, so it got it is coefficient interpretation which is strong correlated about 0,725. And then, between promotion, servive, and the number of visitor have an influence about 0,526 it means that the influence of promotion and service of excellence to the number of visitor in Novotel Hotel Batam is about 52,6% and the rest is about 47,4 % is Influence by another factor.
