The work is part of the evaluation of architectural translucency -- an approach that defines architectural levels in a service-oriented architecture and states that similar measures, e.g., replication, have different implications on nonfunctional properties when applied at different levels in different ways. The report focuses on the serviceware / middleware level using WebSphere as a reference platform. It lists applicable techniques for web service replication and presents a case study for the evaluation of replication effects on performance. Abstract
