Efficient one-pot synthesis of 2H-indazolo[2,1- b]phthalazinetrione derivatives with amino- functionalized nanoporous silica (SBA-Pr-NH 2 ) as catalyst Ghodsi Mohammadi Ziarani Nina Hosseini Mohtasham Negar Lashgari Alireza Badiei Received: 12 August 2014 / Accepted: 5 October 2014 Ó Springer Science+Business Media Dordrecht 2014 Abstract Amino-functionalized SBA-15 (SBA-Pr-NH 2 ) with a pore size of 6 nm has been used as an efficient and reusable heterogeneous solid-base catalyst for preparation of 2H-indazolo[2,1-b]phthalazinetrione derivatives. The procedure involves three-component condensation of aromatic aldehydes, dimedone, and phthalhydrazide under solvent-free conditions. The catalyst can be easily removed from the reaction mixture and reused several times without substantial loss of reactivity. Although several multicomponent methods have been reported for synthesis of phthalazine derivatives [58], development of new synthetic methods for efficient preparation of such heterocyclic structures is still an interesting challenge.
