Diperlukan sebuah perbandingan konsep pendidikan yang sudah ada dengan mencerahkan kembali ingatan kita pada praktek pendidikan yang pernah terjadi di masa lalu.Upaya penelusuran sejarah pendidikan Islam seakan menjadi syarat mutlak bagi umat Islam dalam menstimulus penciptaan kondisi, situasi pendidikan Islam sekarang ini. berharap pelajaran ‘perbaikan’ menuju pendidikan Islam yang lebih baik.
