Produção de alface americana em função de tipos de bandeja. Botucatu-SP. e-mail: santinoseabra@fca.unesp.br RESUMO Com o objetivo de avaliar a influência da qualidade das mudas na produção de alface, utilizou-se três tipos de bandejas (128, 200 e 288 células) e duas cultivares de alface americana (Raider e Lucy Brown), no delineamento em blocos ao acaso com quatro repetições. O transplante se deu aos 29 dias, quando as mudas tinham cerca de 4 folhas verdadeiras. Obtiveram-se mudas com maior área foliar, número de folhas, mais matéria fresca da parte aérea e maior altura, maior relação entre a altura da cabeça e coração, quando as mudas foram produzidas em bandeja de 128 células. A produção foi avaliada aos 85 dias após a semeadura e observou-se que a cultivar não influenciou na produção total e da cabeça. As mudas desenvolvidas em bandejas de 288 apresentaram menor produção total e de cabeça que as produzidas nos demais tipos de bandeja, sendo que as plantas oriundas de mudas de 128 e 200 células não apresentaram diferença significativa quanto à produção. Evaluated the influence of cell size in the lettuce production, three types of trays having (128, 200 and 288 cells) and two cv. of iceberg lettuce (Raider and Lucy Brown), were essayed. The transplantation was done 29 days after seeding when the transplant had 4 true leaves. In seedlings phase it was obtained bigger leaf area, most number of leaves, higher fresh matter, and heigher relationship between height of the head and its heart, when seedlings were from trays having 128 cells. The production was evaluated at 85 days after the seeding and it was observed that the cv. type didn't influenced the total and the head production. Those plants that come from seedlings grown in trays having 288 cells presented smaller total and head production than the othersKindof trays .Plants originated from seedlings grown on 128 and 200 cells didn't presented significant difference of production.
