In this context different forms are seen in the dance field from the Ottoman Empire to the early years of the Republic and up until the contemporary Turkey. Accordingly these differences from the start and the impact on and the contribution of the folk dances to the art of Ballet, which is relatively new compared to its other coevals in Turkey, will be sought. 1
