The structures of the new flavones were elucidated on the basis of spectroscopic evidence. Both compounds 1 and 2 showed strong cytotoxic activity against P-388 cell lines. 2003 Elsevier B.V. Introduction Previously, we reported the isolation of some biologically-active isoprenylated flavones from the Indonesian plant Artocarpus champeden, locally known as ‘cempedak’ w1–3x. In continuation of our search for bioactive compounds from moraceous plants, we have undertaken a more detailed examination of the metabo- lites from this species. In this paper, we report the isolation, structure elucidation and biological evaluation of two new isoprenylated flavones, which we have trivially *Corresponding author. Fax: q62-22-250-4154.
