Materials & Methods This study used a descripive correlaional methodology. The study populaion con- sisted of all 700 students of Bafq, from them a total of 250 students were chosen based on Morgan table and through a mulistep clustering sampling method. Shoot's (1998) quesionnaire of emoional intel- ligence, Ahqar's (2006) quesionnaire of social adjustment, and Hazen & Shaver (1987) quesionnaire of adult atachment were used for data collecion. Results showed that, by having students' avoidant atachment, one can predict 0.254 and 0.379 of their emoional intelligence (P<0.001) and social adjustment (P<0.001), respecively. However, one cannot signiicantly predict students' emoional intelligence and social adjustment based on their safe/ambiva- lent atachment style. Also, there is a direct and signiicant relaionship between students' emoional intelligence and their social adjustment (P>0.05). Conclusion In order to establish a secure atachment style, and building social relaionships and adapta- ion to challenging and stressful situaions, it is recommended to have the emoional intelligence con- struct.
