1 IMPLEMENTASI KNOWLEDGE SHARING SEBAGAI UPAYA PENINGKATAN EFEKTIFITAS KEPROFESIONALAN PUSTAKAWAN (STUDI KASUS DI PERPUSTAKAAN STAIN CURUP) Rhoni Rodin 1 , Titiek Kismiyati 2 , Tri Margono 3 ABSTRACT This research discusses about the implementation of knowledge sharing (KS) to improve the effectivitys of the librarian professionalism which conducted in the Library of STAIN Curup. Reserach aims were to know how the implementation of the Knowledge Sharing (KS) in the Library of STAIN Curup and what are the obstacles faced by librarians in the KS implementation proccess. Research use a quantitative approach for data analyzing and then described descriptively based on the results of questionaires and interview. Reserach found that there are 4 major obstacles on the implementation of the Knowledge Sharing (KS), i.e: the regulatory of information services, internet services, competency of the librarians in implementation of circulation services, and service facilities provided by the library. The specific problems are found primarily related Knowledge Sharing through Electronic Media is a member of and active in the field of librarianship mailing list. For issues through Knowledge Sharing Meeting / Scientific Discussion profession is to establish communication with the scientific meeting participants. Furthermore, the problems of Knowledge Sharing through a meeting / conference routine that is actively following a meeting / conference regular field of librarianship. To overcome problems and obstacles encountered, then there are several alternatives implementable done to improve effectivitys through increasing the professionalism of librarians is again the spirit to follow the meetings / discussions / scientific seminars, and actively participate in the meeting / regular meetings, and then actively socializing through social media electronics. Keywords: Knowledge Management, Knowledge Sharing, STAIN Curup, Libraries, Indonesia PENDAHULUAN Dalam beberapa kurun waktu terakhir ini banyak dibicarakan mengenai konsep dan implementasi knowledge sharing di berbagai organisasi dalam berbagai skala. Banyak organisasi berusaha mengimplementasikan knowledge sharing untuk memenuhi tuntutan persaingan global dan ditambah dengan perkembangan teknologi informasi. Pada abad 21 ini keberhasilan organisasi sangat bergantung dari knowledge yang mereka miliki dan bagaimana memanfaatkan knowledge yang telah ada (Kikoski & Kikoski, 2004). Bergesernya kebutuhan organisasi dari kebutuhan material ke informasi merupakan salah satu pendororng maraknya implementasi knowledge management dan knowledge sharing. Di masa lampau organisasi bergantung pada sumber daya alam, tenaga kerja (labor), mesin-mesin, dan kapital. Akan tetapi sekarang organisasi sangat bergantung pada kemampuan knowledge worker yang mereka miliki. Knowledge aset telah menggeser aset-aset berupa tanah, buruh, dan kapital.
