The detection of unique strain of Tuberculosis discovered in Qom province and adjacent provinces Comparison of DR and PGRS probs in RFLP technique to differentiation of Mycobacterium Bovis strains in Qom province Introduction: Bovine tuberculosis is one of the important zoonotic diseases in the world. The main agent of disease is Mycobacterium bovis. Control and eradication scheme of bovine tuberculosis held on 1973 by test and slaughter program and incidence rate decreased from 5% to 0.14%. the Aim of this study was isolation, identification and differentiation of Mycobacterial isolates of tuberculin positive cattle from Qom province by RFLP with DR and PGRS probes. Materials and Methods: 30 lymph nodes which were submitted to reference “Animal tuberculosis laboratory of Razi Vaccine & Serum Research Institute” since June 2013 to January 2014, 30 Mycobacterium which 21 of them were isolated by culture, and identified as Mycobacterium tuberculosis complex by PCR-IS6110.Then differentiation of strains performed by DR-RFLP and PGRS- RFLP. Results: Three and four different patterns obtained by PvuII-PGRS and PvuII-DR, RFLP respectively. BCG like pattern was the most frequent pattern in this province.was found in Qom province. Conclusion: This research is a part of "National Control and Eradication Programme" for "Bovine Tuberculosis" in IRAN. According to the results which obtained from patterns, PvuII-DR made a better differntiation between the strains than PVUII- PGRS by RFLP technique.
